Haase R. - Sousa J. (won)
Long time no see but I was in Mexico to enjoy the weather. Now I am back and this is my first tip of the year! Go Go Sousa!
Haase currently 58th won against Ferrer. This might seem quite impressive and on paper it is. However, David Ferrer is in a VERY bad form right now. He made a tremendous amount of silly mistakes and was constantly beating his own ass on the court. Haase played very well, I am not minimizing his victory against the Spaniard, but it is important to note that Ferrer struggles a lot in form and it was already seen during his defeat against Thompson. Haase has a reliable service but he is counting too much on it for my taste.
Mr. Sousa confidently started his season with two wins in straight sets. Klein was an "easy" opponent but Ramos was a good victory to begin the year. Sousa on the contrary to Haase doesn't count that much on his serve and he is a MUCH better baseline players as far as I am concerned. This criteria should be the edge in the match.
They met during the Olympic Games and Sousa did not have too much trouble to beat Haase and since I don't see anything much different about this match-up, this sounds as a pretty good value for Sousa.
