VfL Bochum had a very poor first half of the season but, in the last official matches Bochum showed they are still capable of playing some decent football, 6:0 v Aue, 1:1 v Dusseldorf, 1:2 v Bayern Munchen (DFB Pokal). Bochum are sitting on the 10 th place right now, having very small chances for a possible promotion, but this week three candidates for promotion are losing points(Fortuna, Furth, Pauli), so Bochum have got a opportunity to reduce the difference on the top teams and may to approach to the podium with small steps, but for this they needs a win today v Rostock. Hansa Rostock promoted to 2 liga this season, after being relegated one season to 3 liga . Rostock are currently the worst attack in the league with 13 goals in 19 matches, this result is probably among the negative records of the league, during the season they somehow compensate with a decent defence, but in the last matches even their strong point(defence) not worked at all, and Rostock are a serious candidate for relegation these days. No large movements wasn't observed in the winter break, no important acquisitions, just some lesser-known names, it seem Rostock have financial difficulties .
