Lietkabelis lost its first game in the series in Garliava, so they have to try as hard as they can in Game 2 in Panevezys to try to stay alive in this best-of-five series. Last year Lietkabelis eliminated Zalgiris in the LKL semifinals and for the first time ever the legendary Lithuanian team did not reach the grand finals. Thus, Zalgiris are motivated to avenge but Lietkabelis can dig deep at home.
Zalgiris should win this game as Lietkabelis have lost their best shape and can't get back into rhythm. On the other hand, they are a very talented team of shooters and they can't keep missing their shots forever. Defensively, Lietkabelis are weak now and Zalgiris should not find it hard to collect a decent amount of points. Offensively, though, Lietkabelis can burst out in flames very soon if their early threes fall in, so Zalgiris are in some kind of jeopardy before the tip-off ball.
I think the overs is a good way to go for this game as clashes between the two are hotter and richer in points when games are played in Panevezys, and after shooting terribly for a few consecutive play-off games Lietkabelis should re-find their long jumpers in their home arena.
