Ajax - FC Groningen    (won)

Ajax had a good result with a 1-1 against Slavia Praag. They didn’t play well and this is always in away games. There is a big difference in Ajax at home or Ajax away. Because they lost this season with 2-1 against NAC Breda and won not easy with 0-2 against RKC. At home they played better and won 4-0 against Besiktas and 5-0 against Fortuna Sittard. Ajax is missing many players by injuries so last Thursday they missed Fitz Jim, Weghorst, Henderson, Traore and Berghuis by injuries. I don’t expect them back this Sunday. Hlynsson falled also out with an injury against Sparta Praag.

FC Groningen had a great start of the season with 2 wins against NAC and RKC, but is now 5 games waiting for a win. Against Go Ahead (0-1) and Heerenveen (2-1) they lost their last 2 games in the competition. With 9 points after 7 games they are number 9 in Eredivisie. Willumsson and Peersman are still suspended for this game against Ajax. Rente and de Jonge are out with injuries.

FC Groningen didn’t win their last 5 games and I don’t expect a win for them in Amsterdam. Ajax won 35 of 45 games in Amsterdam. FC Groningen won 2 times and last win was in 1994. Ajax is doing it well at home and I expect they should win this game by 2 goals.
