Ajax is in very bad form at this moment and their last 5 games ended in a draw! Last weekend they played a 1-1 draw against Feyenoord and the support of Ajax was very angry about this so they protested at the stadium in Amsterdam against their own players. Also coach Alfred Schreuder is not sure about his job because everybody wants to sack him very quickly. He made too many chances in the team so the players didn’t know if they will play or not. Against Feyenoord started new players like Bergwijn, Brobbey and Wijndal from the bench. Feyenoord started very strong and were leading 1-0 at half time. Ajax became better in the second half and scored the 1-1 by Klaassen. Now Ajax is the number 5 in Eredivisie with 33 points after 17 games. They are 5 points behind leader Feyenoord so they need a win here.

FC Volendam lost last weekend with 2-0 against Excelsior so they are still number 17 in Eredivisie. With 12 points after 17 games it will be a hard season for Volendam. Before the losing game against Excelsior they won against Cambuur and RKC Waalwijk.

Ajax is a club in big problems. Everybody would like to sack their coach Schreuder so it’s doubtful if he is the coach on Thursday. FC Volendam is one of the weakest teams in Eredivisie and earlier this season Ajax won 2-4 in Volendam. I think Ajax should win this game easily by 3 goals. PSV had earlier this season no problems with Volendam at home (7-1 win) and FC Volendam won just 1 of 9 away games this competition so it will be a heavy night for them in Amsterdam.
