Home team are new promoted from Serie B after a season they dominated. Promoted without too much worries even was a tough battle till the end. But they lost last 2 games: first one versus high flying Sao Paolo (1-3) at home and 0-1 on the road versus en-titre Champions Corinthians after a game with plenty of referee mistakes who disadvantaged America. Must worth to mention that overall America Mineiro were slight better but incapable to score versus a tight defense. They saw 2 red cards in that game ( one for striker Luan outside of the pitch in injury time plus bench player in the game Wesley. So both will miss here. Also Aylon is doubtful.
On the other side Atletico PR didn't scored yet on the road having 3 draws all 0-0 all versus teams from the second part of the table and a 0-2 defeat versus Fluminense. Prior to last round they were in a series of 6 games without a win losing 3 times . Playing at home versus Santos they took their 2nd win of the season climbing in the table on 15th spot now with 9 points. No fresh injuries for coach Diniz.
