Aston Villa takes on Newcastle United in the lower part of the Premier League table.
The hosts are having a decent season so far. Last season they had troubles staying up but this campaign looks to be different. Midweek they lost to Manchester City in a highly discussed game. The first goal of Bernardo was allowed by VAR with the Birmingham side heavily protesting over it and even Dean Smith got sent off from the bench. Eventually City scored a second goal though Gundogan's penalty which put the game to sleep. It was a tough period for the Villans as they had 2 consecutive away games at both Manchester Sides. Now they have an opportunity to bounce back with a home victory.
Newcastle are in dire form. They have 4 consecutive defeats in all competitions twice losing from Arsenal, suffering a defeat at Sheffield and home defeat to Leicetser. On the road things are looking even worse with 4 consecutive PL defeats and 2 Cup losses in between them. The Magpies main problem seems to be scoring goals as the team has roughly a goal per game on average.
Last meeting between the sides finished in a 1-1 draw at Newcastle but in Birmingham things should be looking different. Aston Villa scores on average over 2 goals at home and should be able to dispatch the tough visitors defensive line. My pick here is Villa -0.75 AH for 1.62 at 188bet.
