Brazil - Serie A
Atletico Goianiense's sequence of games with the starting lineup is quite large. In yesterday's match for the South American Cup, in my opinion, the wear and tear of their players (especially the defence) in the defeat to Olimpia were evident. The team lost 2-0, but it could have been 3/4/5. Goianiense allowed many spaces for the opponent. The injury to Jorginho, Atlético's central attacking midfielder, was an aggravating factor yesterday.
São Paulo is in a better situation. They beat Católica in the first leg by 4x2 away from home and have everything to advance to the next stage of the cup if they play a minimally good game in the next match. As for physical wear, SP came from a sequence of games at Morumbi and even spared some players against Juventude in the last round, so yesterday's result makes me believe that São Paulo will go with maximum force to win this match. So, on the one hand, we have a tired team worried about the return game in the Copa Sudamericana and, on the other, a more rested team focused on winning this match for the Brazilian Serie A championship.
