This I feel will be the game of the year. The Bills have had an up & down season. Touted as an AFC powerhouse they came off to a blistering start but were soon curtailed by the usual bad play and lack of focus. They were humiliated on their home turf by the Pats and were embarrassed by the likes of Jacksonville and the Colts. The Chiefs also have failed to live up to their reputation of excellence. While they haven't encountered many losses they have had their share of missteps. Losses to the Chargers and Bengals were rough spots.
As we've seen this play over the years, Patty seems to have Josh's number. Coming from the same draft class Mahomes has outshined Allen in almost every way possible - why shouldn't he, he's arguably the best there is playing today. So why would we think today is different? Let's not forget: the Chief's worst defeat of the season came against the Bills where they got thumped by 38-20, which suggests there might be more than meets the eye to this one...
Starling Says: Going into K and grabbing a W as a visiting team is another story. Especially a playoff W. If we look at these two teams in the weeks leading up to this game we see that the Bills have in fact been in better shape winning 5 in a row and 4-0-1 ATS. The Chiefs have not played as well but have certainly put a valiant fight at, winning every game except the Charger game (and that was a fluke). On paper the Bills infact have better numbers. This is not to be ignored, because when I say better numbers I mean BETTER NUMBERS. The Bills outperform the Chiefs in every key defensive statistical category with the exception of penalty ypg. They also boast the best scoring in the NFL at +12.6 compared to the Chiefs +7.6. The Bills are a sleeping giant for this year's Superbowl and they're potential cannot be ignored. At plus money I am going to side with the better defense and that's the Bills to reach the AFC Chip game.
