Europa League
Bodo/Glimt are still to taste defeat in Europe, as they have had an excellent start, defeating both Portuguese teams (Porto and Braga) and playing a draw against Royale Union SG. They are famous for their excellent home form, which is obviously a huge factor here. They might be the team in entire Europe who benefits the most of home advantage. It says a lot when teams like Porto, Roma, Dinamo Zagreb, Crvena Zvezda comes here in recent years and get sent home with 0 points.
In European matches (all) at home, Bodö are 25-1-5 with Kjetil Knutsen as a coach, with 76:24 in goal difference. That is a 80% win rate in European home matches. Kudos to the six teams who did not lose here
Going to Northern Norway at this time, with the weather evening forecast showing a real-feel of -2 C, and wind of 20 km/h (which is not terrible) and play against artificial turf specialists like Bodo/Glimt, is a big task. Already hearing those sentences drains the opponent usually, and it has been proven before. Add to that, a near 4000km trip in the body.
Qarabag are not bad, but they thrive at home the best, on natural grass. They have opened with 0-0-3, losing to Ajax, Malmö and Tottenham. Unfortunately for them, they have lacked disciplin and got two red cards last time, which means defender Elvin Cafarquliyev (6/1) and midfielder Julio Romao (7/0) are suspended here. Times will be better for Qarabag, but it likely will not be above the Arctic Circle in Norway where that trend turns
Conclusion: I see a long evening for Qarabag here. Bodo/Glimt thrive in European nights at home. Bodo are tough for any team here, especially on a chilly autum night with a turf that only they can handle. Given how Qarabag are prone to collapse in Europe, I can see scenarios like 2-0, 3-0, 4-1 or similar. But I will go for the handicap of -1 AH.
