Hungarian Cup Finals, only one game is going to be played on the neutral field. The venue is Groupama Arena, the stadium of Ferencvaros in Budapest. That being said, this could favor a little bit Honved cause after all, they are the team from Kispest, Budapest. But, quality of the team is more on the side of Mol Vidi who although failed to defend the championship title from 2017/18, still had great season by finishing second in the league and by achieving great European campaign. And if they would win now Cup trophy, we could say it's even more successful season then year ago.
It won't be easy cause Honved is serious opponent for this level. It's true they were much behind Mol Vidi in the league if we look on the points won, but looking on the position, they were just 2 spots below (on 4th). So, Honved secured too participating in European cups for next season. Honved by the way was the Hungarian champion in 2016/17 and its the club with big history.
My first lean here was the same as in Portuguese Cup finals, Halftime Draw. But, going more deep into this game, I have concluded Under 2.5 total goals in the game is much better.
Listening both coaches on the pre-game press, I concluded this is going to be one very defensively oriented game. Plus, I know the head coach of Mol Vidi very well. He was for a long time coach in Serbia (Rad, Vojvodina and Partizan), and I know in games like these, he is not risking too much.
There are some players missing according to some injuries and suspensions sites, but Marko Nikolic said on the press, Mol Vidi for the first time after long period is completely free of injuries or suspensions. So, full squad available and again false info from the mentioned sites, just like small note to those who care about that, I definitely don't take those sites seriously.
How serious opponent is Honved, they showed in mutual games in the league against those current biggest names. Against Mol Vidi, there was split with one win each, both times the team who hosted also won, both times very tied, 1:0 and both times after 0:0 at halftime. Against Ferencvaros who won the title, Honved was even more successful by winning at home 1:0 (0:0) and playing 0:0 on the road.
BTW, Mol Vidi has won both mutual games vs Ferencvaros in the league, 1:0 and 2:0. That being said, all six games that these three opponents played against each other, were with under 2.5 total goals.
Honestly, in this finals IMO this should be more like 1.50 to 1.60 odds for under 2.5. So, I see nice value in these currently available odds.
