Both teams are very safe for the playoffs spot but they both are yet to secure home court advantage in the QF.
Barca with 19-6 is in much better position, the third placed right now. The Spanish team has won the last 6 overall and they are 9-4 away from home.
CSKA (4th) with 17-8 is also on position that guarantees home court advantage but they are tied with 5th placed Maccabi Tel Aviv. More worrying from the current record is the current form. CSKA is not looking good. I cashed with them in previous round but it was more bet against terrible Crvena zvezda than it was bet on CSKA. The Russian team played pretty poorly for its standards. In the second half made crucial advantage but late they allowed to opponent to came close as much as 5 pts. So, if you didn't take them few days earlier like I did when the line was -4 or -4.5, you were screwed cause before tipoff it was -5/-5.5.
In any case, I was very disappointed by CSKA performance against one of Euroleague worst. By the way, 3-pts % was only 25 for CSKA in that game.
So if CSKA doesn't improve a lot, it's going to be very difficult now against Barcelona who is one of EL best. Especially if we know Barca will be very hungry and determined to get revenge for embarrassing loss at home from CSKA earlier in the season (67:96). Nikola Mirotic lately is unstoppable and he will make a lot of problems to CSKA defense.
But I believe the Russian team is going to show its offensive power. Now at home they simply must shoot the ball better from those mentioned 25% for 3-pts. I expect a lot from Mike James who wasn't great in Belgrade no matter he finished as highest scorer. All of that was in the second half while in the first 20 minutes he was almost invisible.
So, the bottom line, it's highly expected CSKA to have much better game offensively but it's hard to tell if this is going to be enough for win over strong Barca team. But IMO it should be enough for one nice Over the totals game. I see both teams going 80+ pts.
