IIHF Hockey World Championship
Canada travel from Riga to Tampere after a group stage where they eventually performed as was expected from them with a team of 3th and 4th liners that is still way above the average team that enters this tournament. Finland were very unconvincing compared to the expectations but remain the clear favorites.
Finland have a home advantage and also maybe a rest advantage after the last group stage match having been pointless. I believe Finns should be fired up to prove themselves after the fiasco against USA and Sweden because due to low quality of opponent haven't been able to prove anything against the other opponents in 4 last matches.
Atmosphere in Tampere has died out completely and ice hockey doesn't show in street picture unlike 2 weeks ago. It's the deep breath before the plunge.
