The Phillies are hitting lefties really well with a 119 wRC+ which ranks them as the 4th best leftie-hitting team.
And here they face a southpaw in Palmquist who pitched just one outing on this level. he started in Arizona last week, and he got smoked as he allowed 5 runs on 6 hits. He had zero (!) K's that outing, and that is a big red flag. Okay, in the minors he had a big 11.46 K/9, but this is not the minors obviously.
He faces this dangerous Philly team, full of stars, in the Rocky Mountains, where the balls are flying/traveling more than in any other ballpark.
The Rockies are too bad for this competition, they and 8-40, have no pitching, and even here in altitude,e they cannot hit (best hitter in Bryant is also injured and out). They fired manager Black a couple of weeks ago, but they keep losing, the problem is obviously with the players they got which was obvious already at the start of the season.
I think Philly will jump early on Palmquist.
