Coventry have not won at home since early November - since then they have lost 3 and drawn 1, whilst Stoke on their travels have won 4 and lost 1 since early Nov. Coventry are starting to stutter a bit and struggling to find the back of the net, they have been very reliant on top scorer Matty Godden (17 apps, 10 goals) and he has had to have emergency appendix surgery before their game against QPR at weekend so will be out for this game as well. This is bad timing as they've just sent one of their backup strikers Tyler Walker out on loan to Portsmouth whilst their other striker Gyokeres who started the season on fire with 9 goals in opening 11 games amazingly hasn't scored a goal since the 2nd of October! Then their other forward Waghorn has only just come back from 3 months out and only got a couple of minutes under his belt in the 2-1 loss against QPR so won't be fit enough to start tomorrow. Stoke put up a solid effort at the weekend against the best team in the league in Fulham, only losing 3-2 which is impressive considering Fulham had won their previous 3 games - 7-0, 6-2, 6-2! Stoke have been solid on their travels recently, beating QPR and Hull City each 2-0 in last couple games, only conceding 1 goal in last 5 away, and have only conceded 12 goals in total away from home - only Notts Forest and Bournemouth have conceded less. With this solid defensive record and Coventry's lack of killer instinct without Godden, I think Stoke can scrape a 1-0, 2-0, or 2-1 win. The under 2 goals may also be worth considering, the only thing putting me off this is that both sides are in mid-table and not at risk of relegation so may play more open and attacking football.
