What's more, Oettinger in goal displayed zero confidence and was cringe-worthy to watch. I can't fathom why the coach opted to start with him again; perhaps he needs a break to regain his spark.
The Red Wings didn't fare much better in the last round, losing 5-1 to the Senators. However, their overall performance seemed slightly better than the Stars. Despite facing setbacks with key offensive players Larkin and Compher being injured, Kane, who scored the lone goal against the Sens, can offer some support. They still possess a strong offensive lineup.
The goalie matchup favors Reimer, considering Oettinger's recent poor performance. Despite the Stars winning the last 10 head-to-head matches, I'm going against the strong historical trend. The Stars aren't living up to the odds, and I'm going to take a chance on the Red Wings to secure a victory and potentially leave Stars' fans frustrated.
