Frida Karlsson, Heidi Weng and Ebba Andersson are not taking part in this race, so there are many interesting options for the top 6 and top 10 markets, but in this case I’m going for the win.
It’s a 10 km freestyle interval start, and with those three missing from the start list, I don’t think Jessie Diggins can afford to miss this opportunity. It’s true that Moa Ilar beat Diggins in Trondheim in freestyle, but Diggins’ performances at altitude in Davos have been better. Moreover, Diggins won the skiathlon in Trondheim and finished 3rd in the freestyle race there. Ilar was 2nd in that same freestyle race, but she hasn’t been very strong in Davos so far.
I think today Diggins gets her revenge on Ilar and wins on a course that really suits her.
