Drita vs Differdange    (won)

Drita welcome Differdange for this UEFA Champions League Qualification 1st leg at Stadiumi Fadil Vokrri in Pristina Tuesday evening. The hosts are the Champions of Kosovo, the visitors come from Luxembourg. Drita were clearly the best team in the Kosovar Superliga last season, taking 74 points in 36 games. Their score difference was excellent - 59:26 to be precise. Balkani (2nd) took 62 points. Differdange won the BGL Ligue last season with 78 points but their number of expected points (xPTS) was smaller - 67.56.. This league is, as a whole, of very low quality by European standards.
 
I have watched quite a  few international games with teams from Luxembourg playing in the last 2-3 years and have mostly not been impressed at all..  Last season Differdange were beaten by Klaksvik (Faroe Islands) 2-0 on aggregate in the UCL Qualification and 5-3 by Ordabsy (Kazakhstan) after penalties in the Conference League Qualification. The Kazakhs were far from their best  but still recorded a whopping 28 total shots in the second leg at Stadion Kazhymukan Munaitpasov in Šymkent. They would have deserved to win by a margin of 2-3 goals!  At home, however, Differdange were much better than on the road  in both qualification matches and will surely have a fighting chance in the 2nd against Drita as well.. Indeed, the home advantage in international club competitions is often even bigger than the bookies seem to realize.. Balkanise teams are often somewhat "useless" on the road but strong at home in front of their loud and enthusiastic fans! The weather is expected to be pretty hot on Tuesday -  slight advantage for the hosts..
