Both were top teams in Hong Kong last season and played till recently in the Champions League 2 group stage. Tai Po did a better job winning at home with both Macarthur FC from Australia and Cong An from Vietnam as well as a 2-2 home draw with Beijing Guoan, but could not make it past the group stage.
Eastern AA lost all 6 group games in the AFC Champions League 2, losing even 9-0 at Nam Dinh in Vietnam, 7-0 and 5-1 with Ratchaburi, 5-0 and 3-1 with Gamba Osaka. So really much weaker side in terms of defending. They met this season at Tai Po, and Eastern AA lost there 3-1.
Last season when they met here in the league, Tai Po scored twice by the 6th minute, and from 3-1 ahead they ended up in a 3-3 draw back than. Tai Po has just like last season many Brazilians in their starting eleven. And from that point of view, in terms of quality of the foreign players these two have, Tai Po is indeed better at this stage.
While given the really poor defensive record from Eastern AA this season, as they also have plenty of losses in the league lately, I take here even over 4.5 goals at nice odds to be taken. I do not want to take over 5.5 goals, leaving myself a one goal cushion, 4.70 odds for 5 goals to happen here are decent enough. GL!
