The Oilers will be without two of their star players: McDavid and Draisaitl. Both are expected to be rested for a full week. This is concerning as the regular season is approaching the end. The market isn't over-reacting to the news as the odds haven't shifted dramatically. It's hard to project a winner and I don't want to blindly back the Kraken because of these injuries. Lines will be rotated and tonight some less productive players might be on the cards. Skinner and Hyman scored in the last match and they will be on the radar.
The Kraken were shutdown by the Wild. Yet, they did generate offense but conversion was sleeping. Chandler Stephenson is listed as doubtful. It will be great if he plays as he accounts for almost 50 points. The Kraken didn't manage to be successful this season and won't make it to the play-offs. At this stage of the season, teams that play with less pressure tend to be more productive in offense. The Kraken have decent forwards in all lines and might be successful against this shorthanded team of Oilers.
There is value to consider the Kraken but the Oilers have depth even without their star players. The odds for the Over 5.5 are interesting and I don't expect a shy game.
