Fener (8-10 overall and 4-4 at home) vs Baskonia (9-9 overall and 3-5 on the road). Both teams on the good run as of late and are making push towards the playoffs positions. But when home team is in question I think it was more due to easy schedule. Last three (all wins) have been against easy opponents, at home vs Olympiacos and Asvel and on the road against Crvena zvezda after buzzer beater. They have improved its roster recently by bringing back from NBA its former player Marko Guduric but as I mentioned in the preview for previous round game, IMO he is still far from the player he was before moving to NBA.
Baskonia has won three of the last four. They are the team who is pretty unpredictable. For example lose away in Berlin when Alba was heavily weakened but already in the following round they win at home vs league leader, CSKA Moscow.
IMO the Spanish side has better roster right now but coaching is maybe small problem cause Dusko Ivanovic is the old school coach who sometimes seems like got frozen in the long past. Still, with him Baskonia has defeated Barcelona last season and won the title of the Spanish champions.
As mentioned, many ups and downs in Baskonia games lately but I like very much the fact all of the last four games no matter of win or loss, have been decided by 4 pts or less. IMO today's game could be another one such.
So I'll take the pts with the road underdog and wouldn't be surprsised if Baskonia wins outright.
The first mutual meeting in Spain has ended with Baskonia more or less easy win at the end (82-68) and Fenerbahce was in advantage only in early stage.
The line is 3.5 pts, but let's go with juice on 4.5 for more safety.
