Fortuna Sittard - Sparta    (lost)

Fortuna probably surprising many with their current form but their recruitment policy has been top notch, they even managed to bring in Moutassamy from Nantes who has Ligue 1 experience but apart from him also Flemming, Hansson, Polter and Seuntjens thats half a team and they are all an upgrade to what they had.. what they were lacking is the manager to take the club to the next level and ever since they appointed Ultee in December 2020 they're unbeaten in 5, won 4 and 1 draw. Sparta is a team with limited potential, especially financially, but they play to win, its not a team you would expect to play for 0-0 even against the top. They wouldnt open up but they also wouldnt throw away the game. In terms of squad quality i dont think they've got anything over Fortuna but I wouldnt say the opposite either. Both teams have more success as underdogs and controlling midfield is not their forte. In such a matchup its likely we see fewer attacks and overall slower tempo but better scoring chances because mistakes in the buildup can lead to counter attacks. Fortuna concede 2.2 on average while Sparta condede 1.66, considering the type of game this is odds on Over 2.5 are good, could possibly finish over 3.5 too
