Fritz is 10-5 against Zverev and won their last 7 matches. He also won their grass fixture in Halle just a couple of weeks ago. Mentally, he has a real edge as 7 wins in a row is something that is stuck in their minds. He is also the better grass courter. He has several titles on that surface and his game suits these conditions. As far as I am concerned, he has the better serve, slightly better return and more aggressive baseline game.
Zverev will play his first quarter-final match in Wimbledon. He has never won a title on grass and it's arguably his "weakest" surface as far as performance goes. He has improved his second serve but it remains a bottleneck compared to Fritz. Winning his first Grand Slam title will definitely give him confidence but that awful H2H will chase him throughout the match.
I will not be surprised if this required 4 or 5 sets. As such, the Over is very tempting and a logical bet. However, I think that Fritz has the edge on grass and proved it by beating Bublik in straight sets.
