Kind of an interesting spot here as I didn't have the chance to place a combo ticket so far with both backing and laying the same player, but there is room for an upset here for sure.
Although Metz is a part of Humbert's 'almost perfect' Final streak (won it last year), I truly don't think he'll give it much significance after Paris, if he decides to play here. I assume if this takes place, it will be on Tuesday to give Ugo some room for recovery, but nevertheless, going from a masters 1000 final to R1 of 250 isn't really something that can push a player to give his best, especially after busy week like Humberts when he'll be both physicaly and emotionaly drained.
It will depend on development of the F today, will it be a win, will it be a loss, 2 setter, 3 setter, but either way, Gaston is very much playable in every scenario on this price which is fairly huge. He is a tricky player, proved he can handle Hugo, has many tricks up his sleeve and got basicaly a perfect spot to make an upset.
Appart from his title here, Humbert droped down 3x in R1 out of 5 MD appearances (last year he got bye in R1) so isn't the most constant guy when it comes to Metz. Once again, really nice chance for Gaston here.
