I am not going against Gauff but I am backing Osaka - if you understand the nuance. Gauff has a solid year and is in good form. Plus, crowd will lift her up.
Osaka comes back after a stop and only time will tell us if the depression is behind her back. She showed great game against Zheng and she can up her service today. Osaka is the better player in mechanics and hopefully she will be focused.
