The Germans are making a team for the EURO 2024, but don't mean that they are without ambitions in this EURO. They won their group with Belarus, Austria and Poland, but Spain and Norway showed them that they're not among the best teams in Europe. One of the reasons was their crisis with the roster - they have only 5 players who played all 5 matches. Maybe the most important plyers who don't play are Hafner, Kuhn and Wolff. However, there are also many players who didn't ply a single match in this EURO because of different reasons such as Pekeler and Kohlbacher. Kastening also missed the matches Germany lost. It's interesting that players like Bitter, Wiencek, Steinert and Raichman played the most of the minutes against the big opponent, players over 30, different to the strategy for giving the youngsters a chance. Weber and Golla remain the key plyers in this roster.
Sweden has excellent chance to catch the 1/2 finals, but they have to beat Norway. They lost against Spain, but they have one of the best teams in this EURO and a candidate for medal. Their key players are there, Ekberg missed the last matches. Gothfridsson is their engine, I really like him.
The Germans lost 2 matches, but they're still not eliminated. There is combination that will lead them to the semis. They have to beat Sweden and then to expect positive results from the matches Norway-Spain and Norway-Sweden. It won't be easy, but Germans like Germans, they will never surrender. I believe that even without all those mentioned players, they won't give up and won't lose easily, no matter that Sweden is much stronger with the available roster. I will back Germany on handicap 5,5.
