The German Machines?! Yeah!! The German Machines!!!

 The Germans in their opening game at the ongoing EURO 2024 tournament showed the world why some people call them the “The German Machines!” Julian Nagelsmann’s men put up a solid show, trashing Scotland 5:1 with no breathing space, as they took a 3:0 lead by HT.

I had a bet on the Germans to win the first half of that game, and it cashed. Their performance should have cleared every doubt on whether they are real contenders for the title. I expect them to continue the trend as they have enough firepower upfront. My boy Kai Havertz, Florian Wirtz, Niclas Fullkrug, Niclas Fullkrug and Deniz Undav should continue leading the lineup, as I don’t expect Nagelsmann to make any changes to this team that crushed the Scots. I see the Germans taking care of business again by HT and remaining victorious by FT.

After their awful performance the last time against Switzerland, the Hungarians would look to buckle up and show resilience. But I ask, buckle up for who? Against the German Machines? Lol. This team the Switz held 2:0 by HT and finally ended 3:1. They are no match for the hosts.

Germany played 20 shots in their opener with the Scots, created 15 chances and converted 25% of those shots into goals, while Hungary conceded 15 shots in the opener with the Switz.

Moreover, Attila Szalai and Bendeguz Bolla are on suspension for the Hungarians after they were carded. Although the Hungarians can score at least a goal, which they have proven over time, given that the Germans are a little soft at the back, anything but a solid win for the hosts would leave mouths open, as they fight to remain on top of the Group A.
