Huge rivalry between these two, not just a derby, these two hate each other dearly.
Usually, it has been PEC who has been the better of the two, but in the last two years, this has been a different story as the Eagles are playing the better football.
Zwolle is ranked 8th, but realistically they should ranked between the 10th and 14th place. Take for instance last week's game against Sparta. PEC won that game 0-2 but it was a small miracle as Sparta missed some incredible chances, they were simply outplayed but gained a good result nevertheless.
Go Ahead is one of the best home teams in the league, they can beat anyone at home. They play with a VERY high frontline at home, suffocating opponents if you will. They have a very good coach in René Hake. Zwolle had last season one of the best upcoming coaches with Schreuder, but he left for Castellon which was a pity since he played ultra-attacking football and he was the best coach since Ron Jans. PEC plays a little bit more boring under Janssen today, and like I said, they have been lucky at times as well.
Zwolle will miss (again) important player Ryan Thomas for a longer period whereas the hosts have no significant missings.
I expect Go Ahead to storm from the start, right odds around 1.58-1.65. 3-1 is my prediction.
