The sensational winners of EURO 1992 and EURO 2006 will meet in Athens. Greece were far away from the best teams for years, but they raised up in the last 2 years and look like a serious team again. Not sure if it's about the quality, the coach or the atmosphere within the team, but they are successful in every competition. They managed to earn a place in the top flight of the Nations League, but they lost the most important match in 2024 when Georgia booked a place for the EURO. However, Greece continued to play good after that match and won 8 of the last 10 matches and lost 2, no draws.
Denmark is overally better team during the years, but currently they're on the same level. Denmark have better players on paper, playing in strongers teams, but they're not brilliant. They passed the group in the Euro with 3 draws, then they were eliminated by Germany. They failed to beat Scotland at home in the first match of these qualifications and a defeat in Greece would be like a disaster for them. Denmark, Greece and Scotland are currently on a same level and every match among them can be crucial. It's still early, but every point away from home can be crucial.
