The Chiefs are set as a slight underdog. The market is all over the place on the moneyline. I believe the public is going hardcore for the Chiefs or the spread. However, the big sharks and high rollers seem to prefer the 49ers. Mahomes is obviously the best QB in the league and that's 90% of why people are on them. However, it's a team that struggles big time to defend runs and during the play-offs they didn't face strong running teams. Plus, Charles Omenihu got injured against the Ravens and he is out, it depletes defense.
The 49ers have a more balanced team in my eyes and this match-up is just favorable. Indeed, it's one of the best rushing teams in the league and as I said earlier, the Chiefs' rushing defense is a big liability. Purdy cannot match Mahomes in any way. However, he will just need to hold a good game and I am not expecting from him to make miracles. Offense will be the key element and if the 49ers are to win the Super Bowl, they will need to concentrate on rushing yards.
Both teams had enough time to prepare their game plan ahead of this game. I am sure the Chiefs are aware of what I've mentioned about the rushing. Mahomes has to be factored in the equation. However, the 49ers have more at the offensive end and for me this will give them the edge for the win.
