IIHF World Championship Ice hockey
Italy need to win this overtime, shootout or normal time, doesn't matter. Their main opponents were always France and Kazakhstan and were just "playing" the past few matches.
Kazakhstan no doubt have more quality in their team but this is kind of anti-climatic for them whereas Italy always "knew" their world championship would be not to relegate a division down. Now this is also their last match so on the contrary, it is climatic final for them.
I don't know whether the gap between these two is too big for this to count but it is clear "mental" advantage for Italy, they got the "momentum" and "hockey is a momentum game" like the Sun King said.
