I'm really struggling to understand what Liberty has done this season to be such a favorite.
The Flames are 2-4 with a win against poor Maine in Week 1 and a win against UTEP last week despite only scoring one touchdown. Liberty's problem is a lackluster offense so far, averaging just 17 points, and Vasko as a fairly ineffective QB.
NMST has three wins this season and two losses against New Mexico and Louisiana Tech, both of which are objectively out of reach. They have the 60th-ranked defense in the league and a fast-paced passing attack that often puts defenses in trouble.
With Liberty struggling to finish drives, the risk of an upset is real, and it's definitely worth more than this odds.
