So far, the Ferrari have led almost everything on this new circuit.
- The Ferraris made good times both in the first free practices (FP2) and in all the qualifying rounds (Q1, Q2 and Q3). In the second practice session, Leclerc did not use the soft tires (to have 1 more set for the rest of the weekend).
- Charles Leclerc had the best time to start tomorrow, which is very important on a street circuit. Although it has 2 long straights, it is still unknown whether or not it will be easy to pass other cars. Second was his teammate, Carlos Sainz, but he will start 12th due to a 10-place penalty. Leclerc took almost 4/10 of a second off Max Verstappen (third).
- The wear of their tires, the main concern of the Maranello team, was within the normal range and they turned at a good pace when they tested with more fuel.
- George Russell was only 8/100 of a second behind Verstappen, so the Dutchman will have another strong rival (in addition to Leclerc).
