One of the best clubs in Singapore is Lion City. The hosts have been doing well in the Asian Champions League just a few weeks ago. Now at home on Saturday, Do-hoon Kim's side are towering favourites. Their current opponents Geylang have started the season very poorly and have suffered several big defeats in 8 rounds. Moreover, the visiting team will be very reserved compared to themselves.
Geylang will be missing Abdil Qaiyyim (4/0 defender), Khairul Hairie (6/1 midfielder), Vincent Bezecourt (7/1 midfielder), Joshua Pereyra (0/0 midfielder), Fadli Kamis (6/0 defender), Suria Prakash (1/0 midfielder), Yeo Hai Ngee (2/0 midfielder), Zaiful Nizam (7/0 goalkeeper).
From Lion City, only Tajeli Salamat (6/0 defender), Abdullah (3/0 midfielder) and Akbar (3/0 midfielder) are missing, but they are more like substitutes.
The gap between the two sides is huge even under normal circumstances, especially with the visitors missing half their squad. On home turf, the Lion usually score at least 3-4 goals against their opponents, so it would be a bombshell surprise if Geylang can get away with under three.
