The first leg was held in Japan at Hiroshima. Lion City was totally second best but went at HT just 2-1 behind. In the second half it rained goals in their net as Hiroshima scored no less than four times and won with 6-1. But there is a big BUT, as the game was awarded 3-0 to Lion City. And Hiroshima really gave their best to win that first leg by a big margin, now they need another big win on the road in Singapore to stay in this competition.
Do not imagine that Lion City was too attacking minded in that first leg, or open at all. 5-4-1 formation, but they only have a local keeper of weak quality, and their best foreign players are up-front scoring goals for them this season, while in defense they are really modest. Hiroshima finished last season on 2nd place in Japan, have a nice start to this season. They defeated the previous round the title holders from Vietnam, Nam Dinh, 3-0 and 4-0. Lion City themselves smashed Muang Thong from Thailand in both legs last round, but they are two classes bellow Hiroshima as I back a similar outcome as in the first leg and shall back over 6 goals.
