There are quite a few reasons why i like Kecmanovic in comparison to Garin in the last matchup against Gael:
1. Garin hasn't the big serve Kecmanovic has. The serve of Kecmanovic is absolutely crushing it. You need a big serve to cause Monfils problems. We all know that.
2. Kecmanovic is reducing the errors from the baseline. He improved and looks a lot better since switching coaches. Nalbandian is doing a great job so far with this kid.
3. Do not underestimate the mental boost after Djokovic got cancelled and sent home. Kecmanovic was supposed to be the fodder for Novak in R1 and after Novak missed out he's in it to win it as stupid as it sounds.
4. I don't trust Monfils in a potential four or five set match to be honest. Monfils always has some periods where he lacks focus and concentration and i think Kecmanovic will be there and if this goes to a fourth or fifth set i'm not sure how much Monfils has left. His body is a mess and his playing style based on explosive movements and runs is always energy taxing.
