Well, after European adventures for Serbian teams are pretty much near to the end, we are back to the national league where there isn't anything new, Crvena zvezda still very 'impressive' Lol
I mean, just briefly before moving to Partizan, to recap yesterday's Cz game. Another criminal game to say at least. This time it wasn't friendly game against one of their many affiliate clubs, this time it was solid Voždovac who was willing to play, but, in such situation referees are of course there to finish the job. Cz is terrible in general lately and coming from Champions League disaster and on short rest, of course it was expected they are going to play poor game. Voždovac was able to use that and made many problems but as said, referees prevented them of taking point(s). Voždovac scored completely regular goal but referee disallowed it due to some foul no one saw. Then in mid second half, Cz scored for 1:0 lead from clear offside. So, that's pretty much how Cz wins games in Serbia.
In situation like this, where Cz holds everything in their hands (referees, entire footbaal organization) all what's left for Partizan is to wait mutual meetings and at least then to kick their asses like they did it recently and showed who in fact is the best team in this league. But, it's not that Partizan is completely honest either. They don't have their referees who are there to help, but they have one or two of their own friendly clubs and games where they usually can count on safe points. Mačva is one of those. It's not always that Partizan was winning these mutual games, few times they did not but believe me, Mačva is the opponent they would like to meet all the time. By the way, Mačva president is former legendary Partizan goalkeeper. Furthermore, Mačva in any case is not good team in this season. This is already 18th round and they are still winless, 0-5-12. Their best player and scorer by the way moved to Partizan during the summer and this felt big time. Mačva scored embarrassing one goal in last seven rounds. The season is long but we can say already now, Mačva is going down to lower division.
Partizan played on Thursday Europa League game away in Holland and missed great chance to win against strong AZ Alkmaar team (0:2 lead and man more on the pitch in 83rd minute but it finished 2:2). On that way, Partizan lost chances to qualify for the knockout stage. I don't think the mentioned game in EL could affect on today's match from the fatigue angle but more from emotional angle cause everyone are disappointed now. Still, if this is now some other opponent who is stronger than Mačva and who is not Partizan's friendly team, then I would probably skip it. But this way against Mačva, I must go with Partizan.
P. S. Partizan was winning here in the past with second half comeback. And not once but in more occasions we saw 1/2 HT-FT. That of course is in the line with above mentioned connection between these two teams. I don't think now is the right time for such scenario, I feel now we are going to see 2/2 but still, handicap is probably more safe bet.
The first mutual game of the season, 4:0 Partizan.
