Manresa will have to do a bloody good job on Tuesday in the Top 15 of the FIBA Champions League opener at home against Rytas if they want to cover the handicap the bookmakers handed to them. They are a pacey team and this pace can be lethal if not handled properly but the naked truth is the team can't win games, they can't rebound, and they can only be good in transition offence,
Rytas won their last two very important games, so morale is on their side. They a very good offensive team as well and what they can't handle is not pace - it's physicality on the perimeter and inside the paint in particular. Manresa do not have these features, and they are a terrible rebounding team, which warrants lots of second chance points for athletic and aggressive Rytas. Finally, the Lithuanian champions are facing one of the lowest ACB teams, which is something of a factor as well.
I think even if Rytas fall down, they will linger for long in this game, hence the call.
