The Predators have 4 losses in a row and will really seek a crucial home win. Their next match is in 4 days thus this game is on their radar and Saros will start between the pipes. They lost the first one against the Senators by 3-1 and it's a revenge spot. The problem is that the Preds have been atrocious in defense for the past couple of weeks. They have conceded at least 3 goals in their last 6 matches and I doubt they can keep the puck out of their net.
The Senators are in better form and come after a huge 6-0 victory against the Wild. They literally humiliated the team from Minnesota and registered +50 shots on goal - crazy! The problem for the guests is schedule. Tomorrow, they will face the Bolts in a back to back game, rematch the Bolts after 2 days and then play the Panthers. This means that points will be very tricky this week and the Preds are a winnable opponent. The bad news is that Norris will be out for a few weeks.
If it wasn't for their schedule, I would have taken the Senators on the moneyline. There is value to back them as road underdogs. I will take a safer approach and play the team total. If they win, they should score at least 3 goals but if the Predators pull a big game, it might be a question of over-scoring the opponent.
