The Devils have a particularly poor home record. Their last home game was a win and they haven't won twice in a row since 2 months which makes the spot even more appealing. Offense has been disappointing this year as the team struggles to create consistent pressure. Now both Hughes brothers are injured but having Jack out for the squad is a huge blow. He is orchestrating offense and it was already felt against the Senators. Markstrom is projected on goal and he is by far the worst goalie in the team.
The Jackets are on fire. They are stacking wins and play-offs are a reality. Kiril Marchenko is out due to illness which is a big blow but it evens out with Jack Hughes absence. I like the attitude of this team and the way they play hockey right now. They have revenge spot as they lost the last match against the Devils and the season series are in favor of the rival. Actually, all 3 games ended with the road team being victorious which makes this tip sweeter. Merzlinkis is projected on goal and he is quite rollercoaster this year.
The Devils at home aren't impressive and they are without their offensive maestro. The Jackets are consistent and have superior offensive depth. I will side with the guests.
