Novak has an easy run to get here and now will face a true test. He showed a good game but opponents were really too poor to challenge him. He won their only match in 2019 but since then he didn't do much of a progress.
Kubler is a sad story because his career has been an injury tale. He had 6 knee surgeries and never managed to show his true talent. This year he retired 3 times. Yet, right now, he looked healthy and last round beat the mighty piñata of Evans. Evans looked like an ITF player and he did play well. Kubler is the better player right now and IF healthy, he will cruise in 3 or 4 sets.
