Devers is back in the lineup for the Sox after an injury and this is huge as he is their absolute superstar. I do not expect big things for Boston this season, Sale also left the team *(good choice as he was always injured) + they need to rebuild around Devers anyway. So not much pressure on them since they play in the hardest division the the majors.
Still, they are much more complete than the A's, they are rebuilding for some years now after that great chapman ERA. I expect them to be one of the poorest teams out there, they barely have any power and they have yet to record a homerun.
Also, Houck looked very sharp this spring with an ERA of 2.40/0.87 WHIP. This ballpark in Cali should suit him for the many FB's. RHP Boyle on the other hand had a rough spring: 5.89 ERA/1.53 WHIP.
Hence investing in the Red Sox.
