This is match from the first round of St Tropez Challenger.
Ymer is talented player, but he failed to realize his full potential. He has
good footwork and sharp strokes, but often lose his focus and in general he does not feel comfortable on hard courts outdoors with career record of 71-79
and this year he is 8-10. This will be the first match between them. Krutykh is
younger and he also prefers the clay most. Still on hard courts he is 10-7 this
year and he is coming back on two good wins for Davis cup, something that
boosted his morale for sure. In addition to that he won two matches in the qualifications
here. Ymer also played for Davis cup and lost all of this three matches. They
were against tough opponents – Jaryy, Diallo and Sonego, but Ymer failed to win
a single set and I think he will be mentally more vulnerable. I take the
Ukrainian to win.
