Osaka Gakuin University - Yamanashi Gakuin University
The 76th Japan National University Championships, a total of nine regions, 42 teams in the men's group participated. This is the C group preliminaries, and it is also the battle for the top spot to determine whether they can advance to the next round. Both teams defeated Hokuriku University in the first game.
Osaka Gakuin is from the Kansai region, and Yamanashi Gakuin is from the Kanto region. The two regions are the strongest universities in Japan, but they have not performed well in their respective divisions this season.
Osaka Gakuin has experience and participated in the competition last year. It won all the preliminaries and won two big victories over Matsuyama and Toyama. It lost to Tenri University in the same region in the knockout round. This time, the main guard Ueda Aoi was added.
