I think the hosting side is the the side having the favorite's belt for the game. However, there are two times I hate betting against Zalgiris. It's December and it's when they come out to play following a very bad game. Today is the third day of the last calendar month of the year and Zalgiris last week had their worst season Euroleague game when they had a 70-83 home loss against Baskonia.
Zalgiris is now ranked as the best defensive Euroleague team and I think they have good chances to keep staying atop among the best defensive units. They are built to be a defensive team. Having said it, they will have to play one of the hottest Euroleague teams in the hottest atmosphere in Europe. That's a problem.
Secondly, they are among the worst offensive sides. However, they have in-shape Sirvydis, Euroleague' best individual scorer Walker, who is yet to show his potential yet, and a bunch of average players who can all contribute to scoring sheets in their own way. This makes a team that is hard to predict, and after a blow last week I expect a strong emotional reaction from Zalgiris.
Logically, Partizan should be the leading team in scoring. However, Zalgiris can pull a rabbit out of the hat.
