Partizan - Plzen (won)

Partizan and Plzen are not in a best situation to play this match because their domestic campaigns are in a winter break. Both teams played many friendlies with average success.

Partizan finished second in a really tough group with Dynamo Kiev and Young Boys. The fact that they're one of 3 teams which passed their groups with least points is not important now. Important is the fact that they got Plzen, an opponent against whom they can compete. Partizan are second in Serbia, 9 points behind Crvena Zvezda. Their team is nothing special, thery have several interesting players in attack, but the defense is young and lacks experience. Maybe the best player at Partizan are their fans, they sometimes give the players wings.

They can now focus on the Europe League, where they got Partizan as opponent in this round. They won their group with 4 wins and 2 defeats, Steaua was their main rival for the top. It's honest to mention that their gruop was far easier than Partizan's. Plzen has basically Czech players, but they have great coach in Pavel Vrba. They have many experienced players in the team, so I see them as favourites to pass this round.

Partizan will do everything to get positive result in Belgrade. Their fans will surely help them, but Plzen is experienced team that knows to play for result. I believe the team from the Czech Republic can focus on the match and resist Partizan's pressure. I expect a draw here, 0:0 or more probably 1:1.

Possible, although I think 1 is first result here, while draw second to expect. But, I just don`t know where did you dig this "young defense that lack experience"? Vulicevic the captain is 33 years old, Mitrovic 30 years old, Miletic 27 years old, Urosevic 23 years old. Plus goalkeeper Stojkovic 35 years old.

Except Stojkovic, the defenders lack international experience. It`s not the same to play against Napredak, Vozdovac,Javor and Plzen for example. We saw what happened against Kiev in Belgrade.

Saw Plzen couple of times and they do not impressed me altghough they do have some good players but really lack quality overall. Grobari will fancy their chances but i dont really know them at all to really trust them.

@Tabak, of course it`s not the same. But still that is the case only for Urosevic. All other guys have plenty international experience, not just Stojkovic. Vulicevic who knows how many European games with Partizan. Mitrovic and Miletic are here from this season but played on international level for long. The first one was in Turkey many years, this second played in championship of Belgium before returning to Serbia. So, I still can`t agree. In any case, your bet it s going well so far, 0:0 at HT although Partizan much better. Plzen expectedly sit back and not too dangerous in attack. Hopefully it won`t happen some fast break for 0:1 and we lose both.

Serbian teams can`t play on result. Both Zvezda and Partizan often play good in Belgrade, but rarely get the deserved result. That`s why I would never put money on a Serbian team in Europe.
