Pegula had a grueling match last night against the Brit numero uno. Eala was the first to play yesterday and basically handled Iga in straights like she wasn't the world number 2. It's one thing beating the American mouth breather Keys, but it's another stepping on the big stage and dismantling Iga Swiatek in straights. Unless the moment gets too big for her (which could happen, she's only 19) I don't think Pegula will stand to take a set based on pure form-to-form (especially if she doesn't raise her game beyond the Raducanu match).
I like the youngster to get into the finals and even possibly win. She's playing lights out tennis and there's a clear difference in her game compared to the other contestants left. Based upon the value she's bringing to the table at +350 odds how could you not take a shot on the youngster?
Back the kiddo - Eala adds another top ten player to her hit list.
