I feel like Thomson deserves an oposition after reaching F last week in Atlanta. I am aware that he handles the heat better being an Aussie, however he played some tough matches and fatigue can accumulate in good ammount (if your name is not Musetti, this guy is sick). Also, it is worth mentioning that conditions in Washington are different than 2 years ago, there are a bit slower and that can benefit the Frenchman more. He has the game for faster surfaces, but let's not forget he won a title in Lyon this year (clay). Players play with techifibre balls which are significantly slower which was just confirmed by Fritz last year. I think Perricard has more stable serve games and an edge in the potential tie breaks. Was surprised how weak Jordan served in the last match, but again, it can be the tesults of the matches played and conditions. Thomson won their only meeting last year, but Perricard advanced a lot and in my opinion doesn't deserve to be a dog here. Good value.
