I watched Concordia Chiajna who is 4-0-1 in the 2nd league level as they won the last round in the Romanian Cup against the youth from Otelul, first league side no less than 5-1 at home, as they even had the lead in that fixture 5-0. Defensive wise they were not great, but the reserve keeper they used, ex-Afumati player, was amazing, till the goal he received, but there was really little he could do making many excellent saves throughout the game as the defense of Concordia was anything but perfect.
Since that cup game, Concordia suffered their only loss so far this season, and it was quite a big one, no less than 1-5 at home with Politehnica Timisoara. They also won last round 3-1 on the road at Metaloglobus. In the cup two rounds ago they won 4-1 at Mogosoaia, while in the league they have also won 3-1 at Cetatea Suceava in the opening round of the league. Plus another 2-1 win against Gloria Bistria. They are quite rich for this 2nd league level and in fact pay wages close to the level of decent first league clubs, with excellent facilities for the players, and a good stadium
The hosts from Progresul Spartac just started the 3rd league level winning in the opening round no less than 5-1 at home. To reach the group stage of this competition they made it past 4 cup rounds, toughest opponent being Metaloglobus which they defeated two rounds ago 2-1 at home. There are 4 other first league sides in this group stage. If both of them are to make a statement about ending on the top 2 places, not only they need to win here, but they need to win big, this while Concordia is very attacking minded and showed plenty of interest in this competition as they demolished first league side Otelul no less than 5-1 at home.
I suggest backing over 2.5 goals and also over 3.5 goals here in this fixture. GL!
