This. Is the return fixture, after Rapid winning 0-1 in Sweden last week
Truth to be told, I can't see Djurgården winning an away match on natural grass. Their squad right now is too thin with some injuries, as well as coming from two losses, one against Vienna at home, and the other against their rivals Hammarby a few days after. The mood has taken a hit, and the players openly "complained" after the loss against their rivals, that they were tired from the hectic schedule. With two losses behind their backs, it won't be any easier going to Vienna.
In a way it could be nice to have "nothing to lose", however their performances have not been that impressive, as I mentioned, looking significantly weaker when the turf is not artificial, as they lose their edge.
Rapid Vienna won in Stockholm, a tough place to win. Showing solidity in the defense and also generated periods of momentum themselves. The schedule has been hectic for them too, playing against Austria Vienna on Sunday which they won even thought they were rotating 4-5 players, shows that they still very much pay a lot of attention to the return fixture against Djurgården.
Conclusion: Rapid don't need to stress with the result, but they can't rely on just one goal as that would be playing with fire. I see Rapid scoring the first goal here, and that will be the dagger that settles this match. Djurgården will try to hang in here, and make a late push, but I don't see Rapid allowing that drama to happen. In Vienna their dominance should prevail.
